my-travelbuddies goes to Butuan City

I started my Mindanao trip last June 9, 2014. and my first leg was Butuan City. I arrived in the city around 10 am. Without any breakfast i managed to explore some part of the city in a day. Here is my itinerary that you can use whenever your planning to explore the highly urbanized city of the Philippines.

Day Tour

10:00 am – Arrival in Bancasi Airport (Butuan City)

10:30 am – travel from Bancasi Airport going to City Proper

11:00 am – Butuan National Museum

12:00 pm – Balangay Shrine Museum

1:30 pm – Lunch

3:00 pm – Check in (Nangka Travel lodge, beside Julian’s Inn and Garage)

4:00 pm – City Tour

7:00 pm – Dinner

8:00 pm – Rest

Tourist Attraction

Butuan National Museum

How to get there:

From airport ride a multicab to city proper (php 20)

take tricycle from the city to Butuan National Museum (Php 10)

What to see:

Balangay Shrine Museum

How to get there:

From Butuan National Museum take a multicab going to Libertad (php 9) ask the driver to drop you in terminal going to Balangay Shrine Museum.

in Libertad (beside PNP station) ride a tricycle going to Balangay Shrine Museum (Php 10 reg. fare or Php 20 special trip)

What to see:

the museum was maintained clean by the caretaker, and a fresh smell of surrounding.
